FAQ

Short answers to the questions people ask first.

Is PLMB worth a dollar?

PLMB is designed to trade near $1. Any PLMB can be redeemed for $1 of JitoSOL less a fee of at least 0.5%, which puts a floor under it near $0.995. There is no hard ceiling: above $1 the price comes back as borrowers mint and sell. See Redemptions.

Who backs PLMB?

JitoSOL held by the Plumb program, worth at least 150% of each trove's debt and at least 180% of new debt across the branch. There is no bank account and no custodian.

Do I keep my staking rewards?

Yes. JitoSOL earns staking rewards by rising against SOL, and that happens while it sits in your trove. Your collateral's value grows with it.

What rate should I choose?

One that you are comfortable both paying and being redeemed at. Lower rates are cheaper and redeemed first; higher rates cost more and have more debt in front of them. See Interest rates.

Can I lose my JitoSOL?

Yes, in a liquidation: if your trove falls below 150%, the stability pool takes JitoSOL worth up to 110% of your debt. You keep the rest. A redemption also takes JitoSOL, but it takes the same value of debt with it.

Is there a fee to borrow?

No opening fee. You pay interest at your rate, and 0.5% of your debt if you change rate within seven days of opening or of your last change.

How do I close my trove?

Choose Close on the Borrow desk and Repay and close. You need PLMB in your wallet to cover the debt. See Quickstart.

Can someone stop me from withdrawing?

Nobody can freeze your trove or your deposit. Withdrawals that leave debt behind need a fresh price and must keep you at 150%; repaying, adding collateral, closing a repaid trove and leaving the stability pool never wait for anyone.

Why does my trove say a rate is full?

Each rate holds sixteen troves. Choose another rate; a seat frees up when someone at that rate closes or moves.

Does Plumb support other collateral?

Not today. JitoSOL is the only collateral, because its stake rate and its market price can both be checked on chain.

Does Plumb have a token?

Yes: LEAD, with a fixed supply of 100,000,000, all of it in one public launch with no presale, team share or vesting. Staked LEAD receives the PLMB the treasury collects and votes on every change to the program. See LEAD.

Which wallets work?

Any wallet that supports Wallet Standard, such as Phantom, Solflare and Backpack. See Wallets and transactions.
